The Ocean Youth Trust Scotland aims to become the leading provider of youth work at sea in the UK, for young people aged 12-24, in a safe yet unique environment. Ocean Youth Trust Scotland provides adventurous educational opportunities for young people aged 12-24 to develop their knowledge about themselves, others, and society.

Ocean Youth Trust Scotland Ltd was established in 1999 as a charity in Scotland from the re-structuring of the Ocean Youth Trust which was a UK-wide charity operating 7 sailing vessels.

OYT Scotland operate a 70' ketch, Alba Venturer, specifically designed for working with young people. In 2004 OYTS took over 600 youngsters to sea. In 2004 Alba Volunteer, a 43' Jeanneau, was added to the fleet. Alba Volunteer is used mainly for RYA qualifications and training of the volunteer sea staff.
