Kirkcudbright. Supporters of the SRS Challenge by providing much appreciated berthing for Pegasus at Kirkcudbright marina. Kirkcudbright enjoys a sheltered position in the estuary of the River Dee on the north Solway shore. Only about 25 miles west of Dumfries the town is easily accessible from the M6/M74 motorway system and from Stranraer and the Irish Sea ferries.
